On 14 August 2007, Citycon announced the signing of an agreement to
acquire the shopping centre Iso Omena for approximately EUR 329
million. Closing of such transaction took place today. On the
acquisition date, the shopping centre's initial net yield on the
purchase price stands at 4.5 per cent. Following redevelopment and
other commercial improvements the company estimates that the net
yield will increase clearly in the future. "As a committed, long-term
shopping centre owner, developer and operator, we will continue
actively to redevelop and extend Iso Omena. This centre, under our
management and after two to three years' development phase, will
enhance the synergetic and qualitative dimensions of Citycon's
shopping centre portfolio", said CEO Petri Olkinuora.
The transaction has been described in greater detail in the company's
stock exchange release issued on 14 August 2007. For additional
information on the purchased property, see the company's homepage
