Finland's first flagship cosmetics store for Kiehl’s Since 1851 will be opened in Helsinki at the Kämp Galleria shopping centre, managed by Citycon, on Monday 22 August.
”The original Kiehl’s store was a pharmacy located at the heart of East Village in New York, established in 1851. Kiehl’s is known for its high-end skin and hair care products. Behind this legendary New York company lies a simple message that has been the foundation of Kiehl’s for 160 years”, says Johanna Wallden, Product Group Manager for L’Oréal Finland, representing Kiehl’s in Finland.
Kämp Galleria’s central location at the heart of Helsinki and its unique shopping environment provide an excellent setting for Kiehl's brand and business operations; these factors drew Kiehl’s to the centre.
“Now we can also say "IT IS A PLEASURE TO SERVE YOU" here in Finland”, Wallden continues.
Citycon is delighted to welcome a strong new player to Kämp Galleria.
“In our opinion, Kiehl’s will supplement and diversify the provision of beauty products at Kämp Galleria. We are confident that the brand will attract customers. We are delighted to welcome a new, strong player to the renewed Kämp Galleria and are confident that the new store and brand will be a huge success at the heart of downtown Helsinki”, comments Nora Immonen, Project Manager for Citycon.
Kiehl's, founded in 1851, has more than 130 independent stores and 760 sales points around the world.
Redevelopment work at the Kämp Galleria shopping centre is nearing completion. The development project will be completed by the end of 2011. The shopping centre has remained open throughout the project.
