Citycon has signed a letter of intent with a franchise partner of the British department store chain Debenhams regarding bringing the chain to Finland. The letter of intent concerns opening of a Debenhams department store in the planned Iso Omena extension in Espoo, Helsinki Metropolitan Area. Citycon is planning to extend Iso Omena remarkably in connection to the opening of western metro line in 2015 and strengthen the offering of the shopping centre with strong brands like Debenhams.
Yesterday, the company announced that it had signed a lease agreement with the same Debenhams franchise partner regarding opening of a store in Estonia in Citycon’s Rocca al Mare next year.
